The Empire Area Museum Complex celebrates Heritage Day at the museum on Saturday, October 9, 2021, from 1 to 4 PM. It will be a day filled with music, history, and entertainment for the whole family!
View the vintage cars, tractors, hit and miss engines, and more that fill the grounds around the museum. There will be old fashion craft and food demonstrations, making this a fun-filled afternoon for the whole family. Explore the woodworking shop, blacksmith shop, turn of the century saloon, one room school, fire house and barn filled with horse drawn equipment.
There will be music of all kinds throughout the afternoon. A beautiful hand-crafted quilt by the “Empire Quilters” will be raffled at 3:00PM; tickets are already sold out for the raffle.
A repeat feature this year includes the fantastic collection of hand made Faberge type eggs made in Empire in the 1970’s by Helen Witt. A must see!
The Glen Lake Fire Dept. will also be hosting an Open House next door during the afternoon.
Bring the whole family and help us celebrate our 49th Anniversary! Admission is free and donations are encouraged, which will benefit the museum.
