The Empire Area Museum Complex celebrates Heritage Day at the museum on Saturday October 13th, 2018, from 1 to 4 PM. It will be a day filled with music, history, and entertainment for the whole family!
Moomers Ice Cream will be available!!!
Vintage cars, tractors, hit and miss engines, and much more fill the grounds around the museum, along with old fashion craft and food demonstrations, making this a fun filled afternoon for the whole family. Enjoy our woodworking shop, blacksmith shop, turn of the century saloon, one room school, fire house and barn filled with all kinds of horse drawn equipment.
Historic walking tours of the village, led by sbd Tours, will take place during the afternoon. Meet at the Museum at 1:30 or 2:45pm to learn more about the history of Empire.
There will be music of all kinds throughout the afternoon, as well as a raffle at 3:30pm for a beautiful handcrafted quilt by the “Empire Quilters”. Tickets will be available onsite. A repeat feature this year includes the fantastic collection of hand made Faberge type eggs made in Empire in the 1970’s by Helen Witt.
